Literature [noun]

Written artistic works, especially those with a high and lasting artistic value;

I’ve always been an avid reader.  Since I was old enough to hold a book, I’ve been a reader.  There hasn’t been a period of my life when I haven’t been a reader.  From Dr. Seuss, Point Horror Collection, Dick King Smith, Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton in my younger days to Philip Pullman, Stephen King, James Patterson and J.K. Rowling in my thirties I’ve always loved to read.

I’m a member of a bi-monthly book group, The Chowder Society (named after the group from Peter Straub’s Ghost Story) who chose a variety of genres and meet over good food, good conversation and good wine.

I’m also a member of the website Goodreads, and participant in a number of book groups – Nothing But Reading Challenges, Dragons & Jetpacks and Dystopian Society who all choose a variety of Young Adult (YA) Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Anything goes books.

I’ll be using this space to review, recommend and quote books I’ve read over my days.
